Compressed air experts say the 4th utility is compressed air and one of the most efficient ways to deliver this utility would be installing a rotary screw air compressors. Purchasing a rotary air compressor couldn't be any easier than it is today. Compressor manufacturers have made these machines where buying, installing and servicing them can all be done by the customer.
There are a variety of different configurations of rotary air compressor and there are various reasons for choosing the one for your compressed air application:
Efficiency of Screw Compressor - These screw air compressors are very efficient when sized properly. Talk to one of our compressed air experts about how to size a rotary screw air compressor for your system and which control system would be best for your compressed air application:
- Load/No Load Controls are typically standard on all types of rotary screw air compressors. We generally recommend 4 gallons of storage per every 1 cfm and at a minimum 2 gallons of storage per every 1 cfm of output.
- Modulation Controls are typically installed on compressors where a continuous flow of air is required. Modulation can be very inefficient when applied to applications where the air demand is variable. For example, the BHP would be 89% when using modulation controls on a rotary screw air compressor where the air demand is 50%.
- Variable Speed Drive Air Compressors Controls, VFD type controls are very efficient when sized correctly and very inefficient when misapplied. Contact one of our sales staff to explore this option.
