Sizing of Air Dryers (Refrigerant & Desiccant)
Air Dryers are normally sized by the maximum output of the air compressor (when installed within the compressor room). Point of use air dryers are used for a variety of air drying applications, we recommend sizing point of use dryers by the end air demand. If you don’t you don’t know the CFM of your air compressor, use 1 CFM for every 1 horsepower. For example, if you have a 25 Horsepower Air Cormpessor, (4 CFM)(25 HP) = 100 CFM. Remember to take in account of the incoming temperature and ambient when when sizing air dryers.
